Plenty of them have earned the reputation. A guard fitted to a failing gutter fails with it, and that is most of what people have seen. The mesh is not the trick. The four steps underneath it are.

Debris sits on top, dries out and blows off. That is how micro-mesh is meant to work. If your roof drops something unusual, we tell you at the inspection rather than after.

No gutter protection system can guarantee that every leaf, seed, fine particle or piece of ice is excluded. Debris on top of the mesh is normal and expected. Under heavy tree cover, occasionally clearing the exterior surface may still be worth doing. What stops is opening the gutter up twice a year to dig it out.

Yes. Eavestrough is the usual Canadian word and gutter is the usual North American one, and they mean the same channel along the edge of your roof. Eavestrough guards, eavestrough covers, leaf guards and gutter guards all describe the same category of product. What we install is stainless steel micro-mesh gutter protection, fitted to an eavestrough we have cleaned, resealed, realigned and reinforced first.

That is the whole question, and the honest answer is: not safely, unless the gutter is put right first. An old run usually has blocked sections, failed sealant at the corners and seams, a lost pitch and hangers that have pulled away from the fascia. Fitting a guard over that traps the problem underneath where you can no longer see it. Four of our five steps exist for exactly this reason: clean, reseal, realign and reinforce happen before any mesh goes on. If a run is genuinely past saving, the drone images will show it and we will tell you rather than cover it up.

Yes, and it is a large part of what we do. We remove the existing guards, clean and flush the run underneath, reseal every joint, correct the pitch, reinforce with new hangers, and fit stainless steel micro-mesh. In almost every case the reason the old guards failed is not the guard itself but the condition of the gutter it was laid over, which is what the drone inspection is there to show you before you spend anything.

No. The work is done on the guttering that is already there. Realigning and reinforcing are meant to bring an existing system back to working order, not to replace components that are past it.

Then you get the photographs and a straight answer rather than mesh fitted over the top of it. Existing gutters, fascia, soffits, roof edges, downspouts and hangers can carry damage that was there before we arrived, and we will not pretend a guard fixes that.

No. Cleaning is step one and it is part of the job. Everything comes out by hand and the run is flushed until the downspout comes out clear. The debris leaves with us.

Most homes are a single day. We take the debris with us and fly the finished run before we leave, so you get an after set as well as a before set.

Not for the inspection. That is flown by drone, so nobody sets foot on the roof and no ladder goes up. The installation itself does need ladder access and ordinary work around the roofline and the exterior of the house.

We need reasonable access to the property and the work areas, and we ask you to tell us about any known hazards or fragile surfaces around the roofline before the day.

A precision-formed aluminum frame and a stainless steel micro-mesh. The frame gives it structural strength and long-term corrosion resistance; the mesh filters fine debris without compromising water flow. No plastic lattice, no fibreglass screen.

Stainless steel does not go brittle in the cold. Keeping the run clear and correctly pitched is also the best thing you can do about ice building at the eave.

Getting the run clear and back to a correct fall is the best thing that can be done about ice building at the eave, which is why realignment is one of the five steps. It is not a guarantee that an ice dam can never form: gutters interact with the roof, the weather and the trees around them, and no product controls all three.

The stainless mesh and the workmanship, for as long as you own the house. If something we fitted comes loose, lifts, or lets debris through, we come back and put it right at no cost. Sell the house and the warranty transfers to whoever buys it.

The functional life of the installed micro-mesh at the address it was fitted to. If debris passes through or beneath the mesh and blocks the inside of the gutters or downspouts, we clean the affected gutters and downspouts and repair or re-secure the mesh, at no charge, to restore proper drainage.

Debris sitting on top of the mesh, which is normal and expected. Anything altered, painted, coated, pressure-washed, or worked on by somebody else, including heat cables. And damage from causes outside our control: impact, storms, hail, wind, falling limbs, animals, excessive ice or snow loads, roof or structural movement, settlement or fire. A drone flies the full roofline and photographs every run, corner, seam and downspout close up, including the elevations you cannot see from the ground. It takes about twenty minutes, nobody goes on your roof, and you get the images whether or not you go ahead.

It depends on how much gutter you have, how many storeys and corners there are, and what condition the existing run is in. Two houses on the same street rarely come out the same. That is why the drone inspection is free and why we photograph everything before quoting: you get one number, with the images that produced it, and we do not move it.

No deposit is required. Payment of the full total is due when the work is finished.

Yes. We carry liability insurance covering the installation work, and the price includes complete job-site cleanup.

Yes. You can cancel within ten days of receiving a copy of the signed installation agreement, without giving a reason. Because no deposit is taken and payment is only due on completion, in most cases there is nothing to refund.
