Fix the gutter first. Then protect it.
Barrie sits at the west end of Kempenfelt Bay on Lake Simcoe, about an hour up Highway 400 from Toronto. It is the furthest north Gutter Proof works, and the job there is the same job we do in the city.

Why the preparation matters here.
A guard fitted to a failing gutter fails with it. That is true on every street in the GTA, and it is the reason the mesh is the fifth thing we do rather than the first.

New heavy duty hangers go in before any weight goes on top, and getting the run clear and back to a correct fall is the best thing that can be done about ice building at the eave. It is not a guarantee that an ice dam can never form, and we will not claim otherwise.
